Aluminum Composite Material (ACM) is widely used for modern building facades and interior decoration due to its lightweight, durability, and sleek appearance. Proper installation and maintenance are key to achieving long-term performance and safety.
1. Installation Guidelines
Preparation: Ensure panels are clean, flat, and from the same production batch for color consistency.
Fabrication: Cut using CNC routers or panel saws. Keep protective film intact until final installation.
Fixing: Use stainless steel or aluminum fasteners. Common systems include riveted, screwed, or cassette types.
Expansion Gaps: Leave 3–5 mm between panels to allow thermal movement; seal joints with neutral silicone.
Film Removal: Remove the protective film within 45 days to prevent stains or discoloration.
Inspection: Check for loose fasteners, damaged sealants, or corrosion; replace or repair promptly.
Protection: Prevent direct flame contact and avoid mechanical impact or chemical exposure.
With correct installation and simple maintenance, ACM panels can last over 20 years, maintaining excellent appearance and weather resistance. They offer architects and builders a cost-effective, sustainable solution for both exterior and interior applications.
